JOIN THE FUN !!!

Registering a Dragon Boat Team

Each team that registers will race 3 times on race day.  All races will be on a 400m fully buoyed race course.

Team registration will be open until Friday, September 14th. Payment should be made at the time of registration.  Final team rosters and Online Waivers are due no later than Monday, September 17th.

All of the necessary equipment will be supplied to your team during practice and the races including a boat, life vests, paddles and a steersperson/coach.  Your team supplies the people to paddle (at least 4 must be women on the 10-person boat; 8 women minimum on the 20-person boat) and the drummer (the drummer doesn't need to have any drumming experience!).

Your team's registration includes 1 practice session, which will be scheduled in the week leading up to the event.  You will also receive a space in the park where your team can set up a tent, camp chairs, coolers, etc to use as a rest area during the event.

Registration Categories

Corporate: This is for groups entering from a for profit entity, or sponsored by a for profit entity, wishing to receive the recognition benefits of a for profit entry. Corporate teams have the benefit of promoting their business or sponsor through their team name, team uniforms (t-shirts), team tent decor and team bio which will be read over the PA system at the event.

Nonprofit: This entry level is for businesses and organizations that are a registered non profit with the state of Florida. The same recognition benefits apply as in the corporate level. Tampa-based dragon boat or paddling clubs would fall into this category.

Community (local):  This entry level is for a group of paddlers with no affiliation to a corporation or business, essentially friends and/or family members coming together to form a team.

Dragon Boat Club: This entry level is for established dragon boat club teams that practice together regularly, regardless of their competitive or recreational nature.

Breast Cancer Survivor Team: All team members must be female survivors of breast cancer (or undergoing treatment) with the exception of drummer and steersperson.
